Access Success is a live and online event that showcases attorneys and law students with disabilities and introduces them to law firms and law departments interested in expanding their own networks of able counsel. Access Success will help organizations comply with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 by meeting attorneys and law students with disabilities and, through a live CLE, learn about the litigation risks under the Americans with Disabilities Act for failing to make their websites accessible to visitors with disabilities. A networking reception will follow the CLE session, explaining the web event and encouraging law firm and law department participants to commit to connect with at least ten attorneys or law students with disabilities during the ensuing two-week Access Success online networking fair. This event is free for all participants.
Presented by the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, the National Association of Attorneys with Disabilities (NAAD), the ABA Commission on Disability Rights, the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, and the ABA Law Practice Division. The online portion of the event is powered by LexVita.com.
