Open and inclusive work environments benefit employers and employees alike. However, to create such environments, special consideration must be given to the needs of employees with disabilities. Presentation and discussion will focus on legal issues that impact employees with disabilities and their employers, as well as the work experiences of employees with disabilities. The program will cover access and accommodation issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Charles Dispenzieri will discuss how access and accommodation issues impact his work experience. Dawn Andrews and Jenna Leyton-Jones will respond to questions based on hypothetical scenarios designed to illustrate the legal concepts presented.
If you would like to attend this event, please provide Bradley Muldrow (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your name and the name of your employer by Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at noon.
Sempra thanks Bradley Muldrow and Cassandra Mougin for organizing today’s presentation along with the Disability Interest Group (DIG), the San Diego County Bar Association’s newest subcommittee. The speakers would like to give a special thanks for the guidance, knowledge, and encouragement of the San Diego Chapter, Association of Corporate Counsel, and the National Association of Attorneys with Disabilities.
