About Us

NAAD’s Mission

NAAD’s mission is to be the national voice for attorneys with disabilities:  to be their advocates for greater opportunity and full inclusion in the profession, to establish a vibrant and supportive community of attorneys and allies, and to empower attorneys with disabilities to build rewarding and productive careers. NAAD will monitor legislative developments and judicial appointments, promote political leadership for persons with disabilities, advocate for equal opportunity in education and the workplace, and build coalitions within the legal profession and the community at large. NAAD will also serve as a resource for federal, state, and local agencies, members of Congress and staff, and public service organizations with respect to the legal profession, civil rights, and diversity in the courts as it pertains to persons with disabilities.
