Staff Attorney, Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs
Deepa Goraya currently serves as Co-Vice Chair of the ABA Young Lawyers Division Minorities in the Profession Committee, and was previously a Young Lawyers Division Scholar. She currently works as a Staff Attorney at the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs on the Disability Rights Project. Her work focuses on discrimination against persons with disabilities in an array of areas ranging from employment discrimination to website accessibility for talking screen readers for blind individuals, to equal access to public accommodations under Title III of the ADA. As a law student at the University of Michigan, Deepa served first as Membership Coordinator and then Co-Vice President of the National Association of Law Students with Disabilities. She is also actively involved as a member of the National Federation of the Blind.
